Dr. Ivan Jin grew up in a small town in rural Saskatchewan where his parents ran a small Chinese restaurant, and he spent much of his childhood helping out after school and on weekends. He chose dentistry because his older sister, Janet, is also a dentist — when she was in dental school, he would flip through her textbooks and tinker with her dental tools, an interest that has stayed with him ever since.
Dr. Jin completed his DMD with Distinction at the University of Saskatchewan in 2004, became a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2017, and served as Clinical Instructor at UBC from 2007 to 2018. His favourite procedure is front-tooth implants — the hardest to get right, and the most rewarding when they look and feel like the real thing.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Jin is an avid skier, hiker, cyclist, gardener, and cook — especially seafood dishes. His favourite meal is homemade linguini vongole with lots of fresh local manila clams.

It was awesome! I went to recement a crown that came off an implant. I was worried because the implant was done in my home country. However, Dr. Jin recemented it without any issues. I'm grateful my implant was saved!! Thank you so much.

I have been going to Kensington Dental Centre for the last 8 years. I've had the whole spectrum of dental work from implants, crowns to dental hygiene. The dentists, (especially my dentist Dr. Ivan Jin) are professional and apply the latest technology. The hygienists are just as professional. Let's not forget the receptionists who are always warm & welcoming.
