Najia Xu

Najia graduated from Vancouver Career College and has more than 5 years of experience in healthcare industry. She has a B.Sc degree in China and M.Sc degree in Canada. Before becoming a registered massage therapist Najia worked as a laboratory technician for three years. From this experience she developed low-back and neck pain and felt constant stiffness in her shoulders. To treat her pain, she turned to massage therapy. The treatment was so beneficial she immediately felt on the road to recovery. This led to her interest in massage. After that first massage she worked as a part time body worker in different spas. Najia combines her registered massage therapy training and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine to provide exceptional pain relief. Depending on her patient’s needs she utilizes a range of techniques such as Swedish, myofascial release, deep tissue, joint mobilization, trigger point therapy, and acupressure. She is extremely interested in aromatherapy and believes that essential oils are a natural, safe, and effective way of maintaining a healthy body. In her spare time, Najia likes hiking, yoga, eating delicious food, and getting massages.
