Katolen Yardley, DO (EU), MNIMH, RH (AHG) is a Doctor of Osteopathy (EU), Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, and Medical Herbalist with a private practice in Vancouver and Coquitlam BC since 2000. She specializes in herbal medicine consultations for women’s health issues, skin dis-ease, and digestive disorders and believes in providing usable tools for healing through inspiration and education.
Her education while obtaining her degree as Doctor of Osteopathy (EU) entailed over 3,474 educational hours, along with 1,000 additional hours of in-person Osteopathy Clinical Internship — meeting the WHO requirements for osteopathic training worldwide.
Osteopathy offers support for temporo-mandibular joint disorders, mobility issues, concussions, chronic pain management, headaches, repetitive strain injuries, and trauma. Katolen’s special interests include TMJ disorders, headaches, concussions, cervical spine, and neck and shoulder issues.
Additional training includes Upledger Institute (CranioSacral Therapy L1, L2 and Cranial Nerves Therapy L1), Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy 2-year Diploma, Barral Institute Visceral Manipulation L1, Healing Touch L1–3, Myofascial Techniques, and Anne Sleeper Rib and Cervical Spine osteopathic techniques.
Katolen was past President of the British Columbia Herbalist Association (2013–2019) and past President of the Canadian Council of Herbalist Associations (2017–2023). She appeared monthly on a nationally syndicated morning news show on Global Television for 18 years. Her book *The Good Living Guide to Natural and Herbal Remedies* has been in the top 10 of its category on Amazon.
