"I was referred by Doctor Budai next door at the South Vancouver Clinic 2nd floor above Superstore Marine Drive. They are an approved physiotherapy provider in the WorkSafeBC Physiotherapy Network (WCB) and can bill WorkSafeBC directly for your accepted claim. Few months prior, I sustained a shoulder injury at work from repetitive movement carrying heavy equipment. I never thought a person like me could have a major work injury. But it can happen no matter how hard working you are and at any age. I was literally so frightened that this injury felt permanent that my life would change forever. I really thought this would be chronic pain while watching and playing with the young children in our families. I almost started developing a phobia of fear of practitioners that may make it worse. I’ve heard some stories and seen too much YouTube videos 🤦♂️ I first meet Marianne at the front desk for Physiotherapy. She is very intelligent, helpful, and down to earth kind. She’s amazing with the scheduling process that meets my compromised needs. The process was very easy. It feels like family each time I come in 😁. I was then introduced to Johnathan. He had asked all his questions and did the assessment on me. I was confident he quickly knew what was going on. He then explained the process of the healing and what equipment he would be using and assured me I was in good hands and I was getting good care. He even asked me if I was open to dry needling. I said yes, because I had to be open minded to everything that will help in my journey to healing. But of course I had to be patient. The ultrasonic pulse wave from the unit helps with more blood flow from my injury. I’m sure it does more but I’m not an expertise in this kind of field. Interferential Therapy (IFT) or Interferential Current (IFC) is a form of electrotherapy that uses medium-frequency electrical currents to manage pain and other conditions by stimulating tissues. It involves applying four electrodes to the skin to create an "interference zone" where the currents interact, aiming to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and stimulate muscles. I definitely knew I had swelling because when I try to raise both arms up in the mirror before showering, there’s a huge bulge on the injured shoulder. Jonathan is fantastic. He is really knowledgeable. I highly recommend him to anyone who is suffering from an injury. He even showed me a few exercises that helped my flexibility. I’ve done some of these exercises at work too and it does help. It’s a slow recovery and it really tested my patience. But it’s the proper process because above all, you want a safe and healthy recovery. The last thing you want is pushing too hard then you start from square one or worse. If you’re timid or thinking about physiotherapy, this is a fantastic place. Marianne and Jonathan feel like family. The medical clinic is right next door. There’s even a travel agency beside it. Downstairs there’s a pharmacy, groceries, cell phone services, optical store, and car insurance renewal. Personally it’s all in one and makes life easier! I love this place! I’m very grateful to have the proper help I need. Thank you so much 😁"

I received treatment for different areas from Jonathan. My injured ankle, which was caused by improper running posture, was healed after two sessions. He was also able to quickly identify the cause of my headaches—it was muscle tension in my neck. He could immediately pinpoint the exact muscles that were causing the pain. Jonathan is a professional physiotherapist, I’ll go to him again if I need physiotherapy.
