Heather Brown, R.Ac., is a graduate of the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
I have been practising acupuncture for several years in the neighbourhood, and I am very happy to join the Mt. Pleasant Massage Therapy team!
I grew up in Powell River, on the B.C. coast. The original peoples of the Tla'amin Nation, as well as many other residents from a variety of backgrounds, had a profound impact on my life. The biggest lesson being that there are many ways to relate to the natural world, as well as to each other. I am deeply grateful to them all.
I have a strong interest in the relationship between psychological and physical ailments, within the framework of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have seen my own health improve from regular acupuncture, healthy diet, and exercise.
TCM views mental and physical health as intrinsically connected, and acupuncture can treat both simultaneously. Working with my patients to achieve their health goals and to have a happy life, brings me great joy.
