Avery is a proud member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiology. His interest in Kinesiology came from a background in sports including hockey, volleyball, and lacrosse. He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a specialization in Neuromechanical and Physiological Sciences, and also holds a Diploma in Sports Science from Douglas College.
During his education, Avery learned anatomical and biomechanical concepts related to human movement and exercise, a foundation that informs his practice. Since graduation he has worked with clients to individually tailor exercise prescription — with experience including ICBC motor vehicle accident clients. Avery values creating relationships with clients to enhance their rehabilitation experience.
