"Back in 2008 I had an injury that I didn't seek physiotherapy for and I greatly regretted it as it took me much longer and was a lot harder of a process to recover. Cut to this year and I had an injury that I was offered the choice of either at-home exercises or physiotherapy. Given my history I opted for physiotherapy. The first place I called was Treloar Kerrosdale and was instantly made comfortable with their ability to be warm and inviting while also ensuring inhad the best level of treatment possible. Over the nearly two months I went to Treloar, my physiotherapist Danielle has been phenomenal with not only my pain management but with ensuring my recovery was on track. I always felt attended to by Danielle in a thoughtful and meaningful way. She always ensured to provide me with valuable updates as to where I was at, and what needed to be done. In a lot of ways, physiotherapy is like insurance. You don't want to be in a position where you have to use it but you're grateful that it's there when you need it. I'm glad I took the route that I did for my recovery and I will keep Treloar and Danielle in mind should I ever need them again or need to refer anyone to them in the future. It's one of the easiest recommendactions I've ever had to make."

Danielle completed a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Human Kinetics with a Minor in Biology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. She has received her Level 1 certification in the National Orthopaedic Division Advanced Integrated Musculoskeletal (AIM) Physiotherapy Program. Previously, she had worked as an artistic gymnastics coach and powerlifting coach.
Growing up, Danielle was a competitive gymnast which led to a fair amount of injuries and physiotherapy visits. This experience really led to her passion for learning about the human body, how it moves, and how to recover from injuries. She has always wanted a career where she could work with people every day and help them get back to the activities they love, so physiotherapy seemed like the perfect fit.
Outside of the clinic, you can find her snowboarding at Whistler, hiking, lifting weights, or trying out new places to eat and coffee shops.

I came to Treloar Physio to help treat my knee injury. Danielle Carter was always very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She diagnosed my injury and provided me with various treatment techniques and exercises to help improve the injury. She also provided me with a clear timeline on what to expect and when I could resume physical activities. I highly recommend Treloar Physio and Danielle Carter for physiotherapy treatment!
