Brie Slingerland

Brie believes that treating the body as a whole is just as important as treating presenting symptoms. To accomplish this, she frequently uses Swedish Massage, Myofascial, Neuromuscular and Trigger Point techniques, while complimenting her treatments with a variety of other effective modalities to treat various orthopaedic and systemic conditions. While Brie does loves a challenge, and is open to any presenting condition that may come her way, she has a passion for Women’s Health challenges, as well as specific treatments for Pregnancy and infant massage.

She has also recently started mentoring students as a clinic supervisor at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy, where she graduated in 2010. While she has only been teaching for a short time, she’s already fallen in love with this career path.

“It is so rewarding to watch students grow in such a short amount time. I feel honoured to have an impact on their process and look forward to what they bring to the massage community!”.

Brie loves to travel. In the past 6 years alone, she has been to 11 different countries, including 2 full years in Australia. A couple of her favourite spots are Medellin in Colombia, and Don Det in Laos. When she isn’t traveling, you can find her taking a dance class, hitting a rock climbing wall, hula hooping on the beach, or finding a quiet place with a book.
