Physiotherapist, M.Sc.(P.T.), B.Sc.(Kin.), Dip.Manip.P.T. Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT), Spinal Manipulations, Certified practitioner of Gunn IMS, K-Taping Certified Therapist
Grace graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy (McMaster) and a Bachelors in Kinesiology (SFU). Her post-graduate education includes certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn-IMS, UBC) and a Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy with internationally recognized IFOMPT (FCAMPT). Her approach to physiotherapy is to get people going to achieve their goals. She does this by teaching patients about body awareness and mechanics in their every day movements; manual therapy (including manipulations); dry needling via Gunn-IMS; and motor retraining via prescription of injury-specific exercises. She has had the privilege of working with athletes of all ranges: Olympians, professional athletes, octogenarians and adolescents. Her work has taken her to China and Africa. Being a musician herself, she takes a special interest in musician injuries. She has assisted in teaching orthopaedic clinical skills classes at UBC and is an Orthopaedic Division mentor with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Grace is bilingual (English and Cantonese) and has given educational talks and media interviews in both languages (with a whole lot of practice in Cantonese!). While she has been a long time cyclist (commuting, road, gravel, mountain), her recent pursuits in learning how to boulder and how to play pickleball have filled her curiosities towards staying active while having fun.

Grace is the best! I went from not being able to get out of a chair to constant pain. After a couple of sessions and prescribed exercises, I can go for a walk and get out of a chair without wincing of discomfort. I would give her 6 stars, if I could. She's amazing!!

Grace is knowledgable and a great communicator. She listens carefully and explains everything clearly. Her prescribed program of exercises has almost entirely eliminated the pain and discomfort of my knee injury.
