Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics Clinical Assistant Professor, UBC Dental Faculty Dr. Zaeimdar is a Board Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics in Canada and is the founder of “Vancouver Dental Speciality Clinic”. Besides practicing in prosthodontics, she has maintained a position as a lecturer, clinical assistant professor and consultant prosthodontist in the Department of Oral Health Sciences, Division of Prosthodontics and Geriatrics in the faculty of Dentistry of the University of British Columbia; also she actively teaches on the methods of smile improvements, dental implant prostheses, and implant complications in numerous dental educational courses and study clubs. In addition to all, she was a prosthodontist in BC cancer agency. Dr. Zaeimdar is also a Co-Founder of the “Academic Intelligence Dental Study Club” in Vancouver/BC. The study club focuses on advancing dental knowledge by organizing educational events for local dentists. Her main goal in establishing a Specialty Clinic is to implicate the academic knowledge to clinical practice for the benefit of patient care and to decrease the failure rates. In recognition of her contribution to the education of UBC graduate prosthodontics students, she was given the graduate part time faculty teaching award in 2016. Dr.Zaeimdar received her Prosthodontics Specialty Diploma, Doctorate in Medical Dentistry Degree and Masters of Sciences in Craniofacial Science for her research on bonding to the e. max aesthetic dental ceramics from the University of British Columbia. For overall outstanding performance, she was the recipient of multiple awards including, the Max Nacht Memorial Prize in Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry Dental Student Award, American College of Prosthodontists Undergraduate Achievement Prize, and B.C. Society of Prosthodontists Entrance Award in Prosthodontics. She has been teaching and practicing restorative and prosthetic dentistry since 1995 after obtaining her doctorate of dental surgery (DDS) and has been recipient of multiple teaching awards during her teaching as a full-time faculty in the faculty of dentistry of Azad Tehran/Iran university. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and a member of the Canadian Dental Association, Dental Specialists Society of British Columbia, British Columbia Society of Prosthodontics, British Columbia Dental Association, and American College of Prosthodontists. She enjoys living in Point Grey/Vancouver with her loving supportive husband “Shahin”.

I had an incredibly positive experience with everyone at this clinic. After many years of bad experiences having crowns done at other clinics, I was extremely anxious about going back to the dentist to have three crowns replaced. Dr. Faranak Zaeimdar was amazing. She set reasonable expectations for my complex case, and achieved even better results than I had hoped. The work was not only aesthetically beautifully done, but she also made sure to support my gum health and the existing implants I had. Dr. Zaeimdar is supported by extremely caring, kind, and professional dental assistants and front desk staff. The whole process was efficient and streamlined (and less expensive) than having the three crowns done at my regular dentist’s office. The experience and knowledge of this clinic is the best I have ever experienced. If you are looking for someone to do your prosthodontic work - I would highly recommend this team.
