Dr Alan Shell

Dr. Alan Shell moved to Vancouver from Barcelona, Spain to continue his practice as Chiropractor. He grew up in Winnipeg and moved to Toronto to study Chiropractic in the 1980s. After working in many different clinics and countries for the last 30 years, Dr. Alan has accumulated a wealth of understanding of the body, how it heals and how we can maintain our body health in a pain free manner. He is very excited about starting work at Sparsh Wellness Retreat and feels very comfortable working in such a healing environment with very friendly staff. Besides Chiropractic Spinal Manipulation, Dr. Alan has also integrated an exercise series which is efficient and short so people can do them every day. Alongside this exercise series, he uses a variation of The Alexander Technique to re-educate one’s posture when sitting, standing and walking. Through these simple methods the body is allowed to heal and grow into a fully functional pain free person. Through his travels, Dr. Alan speaks fluent Spanish and French and understands adequately Portuguese and Italian. In his spare time, Dr. Alan is a percussionist and filmmaker.
